Heat Wave

June 28th, 2003 · No Comments

We here in the Bay Area are at the tail-end of a heat wave that started last Thursday. For the last three days, we’ve been suffering a 3-digit temperature, with no wind and no humidity. The heat has been scorching; digging deep into your skin. The air you breathe is arid and harsh.

It hasn’t been fun for me at all (and I doubt it has been fun for anyone). Extremely hot weathers get the best of me. It makes me irritable, lazy and I get psychosomatic headaches and backaches and the like. This is why I don’t like summer that much. I much prefer the fall/winter weather. I get miserable in the summer, unless of course I’m on vacation in the Bahamas or Mexico. And even then, I get moments where I am just restless and irritable.

Thank God the heat wave’s tapering off. Next week’s forecast looks as normal as Bay Area weather can be though I am still counting down to the first day of autumn!

Until next entry.
