1. Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
Yes. My first best friend was Jocelyn Aba. I think it was in the third grade when we first started hanging out. We were good friends up until high school although in the years between third grade and high school, we found other people to hang out with and spent less and less time with each other.
2. Are you still in touch with this person?
No. I lost track of her after high school graduation. A sad thought, now that I think about it, because I knew her for so long.
3. Do you have a current close friend?
Yes, of course. There’s Christine and Gwendolyn. We haven’t seen each other for almost nine years but we have kept in touch, one way or another, despite the distance between us.
There’s my sister, Mi. Despite our differences in personality, in thinking and in feeling and despite the misunderstandings every now and then, she is still the person I would hang out with. She is my oldest, closest, dearest friend, I suppose.
4. How did you become friends with this person?
Gwen and Christine, I met in college. Mi, I’ve always known ever since I was born.
5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
Yes. It would be my old college buddy, Myrdal. She was such a unique person and I learned a few things from her. I wonder where she is now?
