There and Back Again

Oh look, a response to Friday Five from me that I’m actually posting on a Friday. Here goes…

1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
I used to be an avid college and NBA basketball fan though not so much anymore. I’m also into football, constantly supporting San Francisco’s not-doing-so-well football team. Back when Pete Sampras was still playing, I used to watch a bit of tennis. And back when Ken Griffey, Jr. was still a Mariner and looked like the next best thing since slice bread, I also watched a bit of baseball. Recently, I got into the other kind of football, a.k.a. soccer and enjoyed it as much as American football.

2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
The teams I will always be supporting despite not following their games as much are the SF 49ers (football) and the UCLA Bruins (college basketball). My favorite athletes of all time are Magic Johnson, Steve Young, Ken Griffey, Jr., Jerry Rice, Paulo Maldini and the rest of the Italian football team.

3. Are there any sports you hate?
Not “hate” but maybe “can’t stand.” It’s a tie between golf and baseball. Boring as hell!

4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Other than high school and college varsity games, no.

5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
I am probably the most uncoordinated individual that ever walked the earth. Thankfully, I never did and never will get into sports. A sad thing to accept but I guess, it’s better this way than cause major embarrassment.
