Disposition: Sleepy
Listening: The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Soundtrack
Reading: The Interpreter
Watching: The Thin Red Line
Obsessing: Eduardo Noriega
Pondering: Take a music bath once or twice a week for a few seasons, and you will find that it is to the soul what the water-bath is to the body. (William Shakespeare)
My sister sometimes think it’s dorky that I like to collect movie soundtracks but I do enjoy listening to them. Yesterday when I woke up with a headache, I thought I’d listen to some before starting the day and that moment inspired today’s blog entry.
I thought that for today, I’d list my favorite themes/track from a movie soundtrack. Here they go (in no particular order):
Concerning Hobbits, Many Meetings, Breaking of the Fellowship - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Howard Shore)
Love Montage - Dying Young (James Newton Howard)
Homer’s Lesson - Cider House Rules (Rachel Portman)
Remembrances - Schindler’s List (John Williams)
Convento di Santa Anna - English Patient (Gabriel Yared)
Princess Leia’s Theme - Star Wars (John Williams)
Comtine D’un Autre Ete: L’apres Midi - Le Fabuleux Destin D’Amelie Poulin (Yann Tiersen)
Cinema Paradiso - Cinema Paradio (Ennio Morricone)
Hedwig’s Theme - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (John Williams)
The Friendship Theme - Beaches (Georges Delerue)
Minas Tirith, The White Tree, The Return of the King, Hope and Memory, Into the West, End of All Things - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Howard Shore)
Lorenzo - Lucia y el Sexo (Alberto Iglesias)
