Regrets

Disposition: Thoughtful
Listening: Sex and Lucia Soundtrack
Reading: The Interpreter
Watching: Utopia
Obsessing: Eduardo Noriega
Pondering: Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable. (Sydney J. Harris)

I’ve been looking back at previous decisions I’ve made and realize I haven’t been making the best choices of late. I am particularly regretful of that job offer I passed up which could have been something different. I could have made a difference in that position. I could be learning something new now. I should have been braver in taking on new challenges and not contented with the familiar. I shouldn’t have allowed others to influence my decision then.

Could have. Should have. Well, no use thinking about it now though it does bug me every now and then. That’s when I know I’ve let a good one pass by.
