There and Back Again

Little by little, one travels far.

¿Dónde está la playa?

Disposition: Tired, just thinking about my six-hour red-eye flight.
Reading: Shutter Island (Dennis Lehane)
Watching: Fox Sports News
Pondering: I read and walked for miles at night along the beach, writing bad blank verse and searching endlessly for someone wonderful who would step out of the darkness and change my life. It never crossed my mind that that person could be me. (Anna Quindlen)

I’ll be gone for the next seven days to a place where there will be no TV, no Internet, no telephone. Just me, my sister, the sun, the sand and the beach. Think of nothing…worry about nothing - that’s the name of the game. And I am up for it.

Now if only I can just close my eyes and be there instead of flying for six hours. Oh well, we can’t have everything, now can we?
