Here Comes The Sun

Pondering: The world goes up and the world goes down, and the sunshine follows the rain; and yesterday’s sneer and yesterday’s frown can never come over again. (Charles Kingsley)

By golly, I woke up today missing Shangri-la Caribe terribly, it was funny. I longed for its cozy cabanas, breakfast buffet, and the camp-like and familial feel of the place. I missed our Italian neighbors and our other nameless, faceless neighbors. It was like leaving camp without saying goodbye. It was the weirdest thing.

Yes, the sun finally came out! To celebrate its return, my sister and I enjoyed the beach from 9AM to 2PM, after which we had paella for lunch and watched Italy play Denmark in the European Cup.

Speaking of the Euro Cup, will the freaking coverage please give me a close-up shot of Alessandro Nesta?

I see how you’ve chronicled all the details of our unforgettable trip. It makes me laugh to read them now; it wasn’t too funny then, was it? C’est la vie…
