Brilliant! Dennis Lehane is just fucking brilliant! And Shutter Island (his last book to date) is just magnificent. It was masterful, poetic and clever. I can’t believe I waited so long to read this one. And I call myself a fan.

Every book I’ve read of him is different from the one before it. Hell, even his Gennaro-Kenzie PI series was always something new every time, despite having the same characters. His books are not your typical whodunit and the twists in his stories are always unexpected. Unlike Dan Brown, whose book The DaVinci Code I thought was brilliant, until I read two more of his books and found a trend in his stories which made the twist pretty obvious and predictable.

So cheers to my man, Dennis for another awesome book and another awesome ending! Can hardly wait for his next literary work.
