Temporary Peace

Listening: Five for Fighting
Disposition: I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. (Gilbert K. Chesterton)

The three days before Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year. It’s the time of the year when the office world is quiet and easy. The office parking lot is empty, no need to compete with maniacal drivers for the prime spot. This is the time of the year when all the documents waiting to be filed under my desk finally find its way to the filing cabinets. The perfect time of the year for a grande Starbucks’ Peppermint Mocha.

Though there was hardly peace and quite last few week at work (last two months, to be exact), these few days before the holiday bustle begins have still offered me a lull in the phone calls, the mad rush to get things done, the constant meetings and the never-ending problem solving. These 3-days are definitely something to be thankful for.
