There and Back Again

I woke up this Sunday morning at 2 AM (GMT) and jet lag set in because my eyes just wouldn’t go back to sleep. In California it must be 4 or 5 PM on a Saturday. I listened to my iPod hoping it would make me sleepy but three playlists later, I was still wide awake, the hours ticking and hints of the sun slowly peeking behind the window curtains. I dozed off around 5 AM only to wake up again at 9:30 AM. Morning went by with me in bed. Not a good thing!

Sis and I had lunch at a Chinese buffet near the hotel. Afterwards we headed to Victoria Station to visit the less crowded Next and H & M stores at the train station. I bought a pair of really cool walking shoes at H & M which didn’t cost much if you were earning pounds sterling but not that cheap if you converted to US dollars. (One pound is two dollars and cents so my sister and I are constantly calculating costs of things by doubling the price.) However, this purchase was worth it because the shoes are comfortable.

Also, we finally decided on a day trip to take. Yeah! Tomorrow, we’re taking the bus to Leeds Castle. Should be fun!!!
