Pondering: When you’ve seen beyond yourself, then you may find, peace of mind is waiting there. (George Harrison)
Listening: Time After Time by Eva Cassidy (Acoustic 3)
It’s Thursday and I am on board the Eurostar to Paris from London. Eva Cassidy’s acoustic rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time is playing in my iPod as I watch London’s suburbs and back roads pass me by - or am I passing them by? The laughter of the Chinese businessmen sitting in the same coach I’m in dissipates and the stink of the couple behind me disappears.
I am at peace, that is all I can say about this moment. There’s a calmness that’s settling within me and it will be gone soon, I know.
But for now, at the precise moment I am writing this, I have peace of mind and I am thankful for it.

We checked into the Hotel Villa Montparnasse in Rue Boulard. The hotel is charming, I have to say. The hallway is just adorable! The room is small with hardly any space to walk around except to and from bathroom but this is to be expected of European hotels. We do have a small balcony — really, it’s more like a window with a leaning bar — and if you stretch your neck just a bit, to the left is a view of the Montparnasse Cemetery. Charming!
