Pondering: “Stay” is a charming word in a friend’s vocabulary. (Louisa May Alcott)
Listening to: Everything’s Not Lost (Coldplay)
One of my favorite TV shows, Showtime’s Queer As Folk, bid farewell last night. Overall, it was a happy ending for the funny folks of Liberty Avenue but it was sad to see the last of the characters I’ve grown to so enjoy. The last scene showed Brian Kinney, the life of the party, dancing one last time with all the bright lights of Babylon on him. The sight of him soaking up the loud music, the dancing lights, and the bodies around him was very poignant and memorable. He was my favorite character and his story ends the way it started. A full circle…
It’s always a sad thing, saying goodbye and moving on. And ironically, it one of the more constant things we go through in life.
