Pondering: People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering. (Saint Augustine)
Listening to: Wildflower (Sheryl Crow), The World Turned Upside Down (Coldplay)

I am on board an Amtrak train from San Diego to Burbank, California. The view to my right is the coast of California - the Pacific Ocean in all its glory and beauty. I could get lost just staring into its vastness and I could drown in its serenity and not even panic. I wish I could just get off at one of these stops, run my feet along the sun-kissed sand before dipping in the ocean for a bit.

I know now that when I die I want to be buried in the ocean so that I can be one with the water and sun.

*************
The train just departed the Anaheim Station. We left the view of the ocean about an hour ago. Now, the view from my window is that of storage buildings and residential roofs and lawns. How quickly the scenes change, just like life. Everyone and everything is changing.

A few more stops and I’ll be at my final destination, Burbank – the Media Capital of the World. My other sister will be meeting up with us at the Burbank Airport and later tonight, we will go see Keane at the Greek Theater in LA.

I don’t want this weeked and train ride to end.
