Listening to: Not Myself (John Mayer)
Pondering: All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. (George Orwell)
I accomplished a lot today.
…Finished the book I’ve been reading for a few weeks now – A Long Way Down. Nick Hornby is a genius with words. His characters are poignant and funny at the same time.
…Finished drafting 6 job announcements I needed to write. All these recruitments now need to open and close before the Christmas holidays. Is it even possible?
…Found a good shirt to wear with my favorite red jacket, the one I wore the evening I saw Coldplay for the very first time.
…Downed two grande cups of toffee nut latte. Whew! Talk about being high! (One in the AM and in the PM, of course.)
…Cleared my desk for the weekend.
…Resisted the urge to open all the gifts on my desk.
…Sustained 10 years with the agency I am currently working for. Yup, 10 years ago today my then manager called me to her office, closed the door, scared the bejesus out of me cause I thought my temporary work status have come to an end and I am getting terminated, only to find out I have been appointed to permanent work status. Ten years ago today, I bid adieu to unemployment and self-pity.
…Turned another year older today. No fuss, no big party. Cake from friends at work, gifts from the lovely people I know and then dinner tonight with my sisters. Only thing missing is Tim Rice-Oxley playing an original tune on the piano in the background.

I missethed your birthday!
Happy happy, my dear.
I need a job. Should I come work there? Would I like Cali?

Lisa,
Read your updates and I am glad I did. So you still write really, sorry was not able to read them before but at least am starting.
It feels subtly like connecting with you in a different but forceful way. I like your photo and that road pic you had taken with those trees and yes the passage you came up with. It transported me to your inner-thoughts world!
It’s just so you, kinda of reserved, deep and strong-willed. Will definitely be dropping by from time to time.
Love you! (I missed reading the entry you wrote about me but Chit did give me a loud recount of what it was and it made my day.)
