Listening: Vertigo (U2)
Pondering: We think too small, like the frog at the bottom of the well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced, he would have an entirely different view. (Mao Tse-Tung)
All these iTunes shopping I’ve been doing lately has got me wondering what my celebrity playlist would look like if I were a celebrity. So every now and then, I’d remember a song and add to my item bank of favorite songs. It’s not a very long list yet but here are the ones I seem to always have added to my track listing whenever I have to create one:
Creep (Radiohead)
I was in college when this song became a big hit in my country. I love its defeatist lyrics.
God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (Coldplay)
Hands down my most favorite Coldplay song – one of them at least. I liked this one even before I learned I like Coldplay.
Let’s Stay Together (Al Green)
Heck, I love even the American Idol cover.
Something To Talk About (Bonnie Raitt)
Playful.
Somebody (Depeche Mode)
Again, another college anthem…
With Or Without You (U2)
Who doesn’t have this on their playlist?
Snowed Under (Keane)
Every time they play this at their concerts, I get so jubilant and my heart is so happy, it soars.
Your Body Is A Wonderland (John Mayer)
Yeah, John!
I Want It That Way (Backstreet Boys)
You can say anything you want about pop songs, but you can’t deny this one.
It’s Good To Be In Love (Frou Frou)
Have you heard the acoustic version?
Yesterday (Beatles)
Another one of those that is always on everyone’s list…
She’s Got A Way (Billy Joel)
The song I wish I wrote, if I were a guy or the song I wish was written for me.
Sunshine (Keane)
As if I haven’t said it enough, I am in awe with Tim Rice-Oxley and for the most part it’s because he wrote this song.
Everything’s Not Lost (Coldplay)
My second most favorite Coldplay song (and because I have to have another Coldplay song on this list.)

Would you believe I have NO U2 music on my iTunes? None. I recently picked up the Rolling Stone with Bono on the cover and read the interview. Loved it. Gained a new fascination with the man. Love the music even more. WILL have U2 music on my iPod in 2006.
This was a great post. Smooches!
