To Thee, I Pray

Pondering: Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action. (Mohandas Gandhi)
Listening to: The Mess We’re In (PJ Harvey/Thom Yorke)

Tonight, my thoughts and prayers go to my friend and office mate Loida, who, as we speak, is in surgery to fix an aneurism. Five years ago, she had an aneurism on the right side of her brain and survived without complications. This time, the aneurism is on the left side. We are all devastated with the news and on edge as we await the results of the surgery.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.

I realize this was over a month ago, Lisa (I have fallen so behind!)… what was the outcome?

Surgery went very well, I am pleased to say. She is one lucky lady, surving two aneurisms. She’s home now, recuperating; won’t be back to work until July - rightfully so. Though I still think July is too soon.
