There and Back Again

I have to write this now while the memory is still fresh, the elation is high and the joy is bursting. I saw my third Coldplay concert of the week – probably my last one for a while too – and this one was the best of the three. The shows in Oakland and San Jose, California were memorable too but tonight’s show in Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena was the most energetic. I think almost everyone were true Coldplay fans, knew the lyrics to most of the songs and sang along with Chris Martin like their life depended on it. Everyone was up on their feet, waving their hands, their drinks and whatever else they can wave at anyone or at the band.

They didn’t sing The Hardest Part tonight like they did in San Jose but it was all just good. Clocks kicked some serious ass as usual and the acoustic Trouble was particularly sweet tonight. And I just loved singing along to Fix You at the end because somehow, every word had a meaning. I wish they played for one more hour but as is everything in life, all good things must come to an end.

I wish I could go on to the rest of the Twisted Logic Tour shows in California but that’s not possible, of course. Besides, I have memories from three great shows to last me a lifetime.
