Listening to: Stars All Seem To Weep (Beth Orton)
Pondering: The loneliness is when you pick up and move, even if you are not originally from that place, and you have some memories that you want to embrace. Having a life in transit, I feel like you are always looking out the back window. (Ajay Naidu)

I feel like I should write about the movie I watched last night, Loggerheads though I don’t quite know what to write about. The acting wasn’t all that great, the pace was slow to the point of being boring (my sister slept through half of it) and the story wasn’t all too novel, I suppose. Yet when the movie ended, I was moved and touched and I even cried a bit.

Maybe I cried from watching two lonely people who have practically resigned themselves to live the rest of their lives running away to nowhere, meet and inspire each other to strive for more. Their meeting was a beautiful thing.

Maybe I cried for the two mothers who lost and let go of the same child.

Maybe I cried because the three stories that made up the movie, never did quite connect and I didn’t expect that.

Maybe I cried because I have always thought that one shouldn’t die alone. It is the saddest thing in the world to die alone and I’m happy the movie didn’t end this way.
