Listening to: If I Were Brave (Shawn Colvin)
Pondering: The important work of moving the world forward does not wait to be done by perfect men. (George Eliot)
According to the news, today is called the ‘lost Monday.’ Every Monday before a non-working holiday is considered as such because people go to work but they’re not actually going to work or get anything done. The working minds are already on holiday mode.
Well I actually did get something done today, though it was hard. In between writing reports, I amused myself by taking photos of my desk and my cubicle. Full of clutter, I know but I actually like my cubicle. It’s home-ey, if there’s such a word. My favorite things are represented here in my home-away-from-home: Harry Potter, Coldplay, iPod, Lord of the Rings, Coffee and Paris (look closely, my mousepad is a photo of Champs Elysées which I took last year).
After taking the photos, I went back to writing my long-delayed reclass report. Now it’s nearly 600 pm and it’s time to hit the nearby Chevy’s for dinner with some officemates. It’s not a lost Monday afterall.
