Yesterday evening I was calling candidates for this recruitment I have and one of the candidates was Chris Martin – or someone named Chris Martin. It was very weird asking if I could speak to “Chris Martin”. My sister who works in the same office overheard me and asked out loud, “you’re calling Chris Martin?†It was very funny since she knew how awed I am of Coldplay.
Of course Chris Martin wasn’t there, so I left a message with his wife. No, her name was not Gwyneth. He called me a few minutes later. Alas, he did not have Chris’ British accent or cool, almost-shy voice but he was the nicest gentleman, very polite and eager for an opportunity to interview for our job.
