There and Back Again

I don’t know. All I know is that tonight, my sister and I bid on and bought our first home all in one hour. We were signing documents after work one hour, and the next we are homeowners. My head is swirling and my head is light. I am excited, relieved and scared of what the future holds for my sister and me. I was so anxious on the drive home I had to ask my sister to play Duran Duran’s (Reach Out For The) Sunrise song to perk me up. (It worked by the way. The hopefulness of the song calmed me down.)

All the vacations we’ve taken in the last few years are flashing in my mind. I feel like I have to say goodbye to all my travels abroad but deep in my heart, I know we’ll find a way to get away still. Maybe not this year or next year, but someday soon again.

What’s going to happen tomorrow? I have no clue but I know we’ll be alright!
