There and Back Again

I woke up early this morning and read a few chapters of this really cheesy but can’t-stop-reading paperback I have been keeping on my bedside table. After which, I got up and made a traditional English breakfast for my sister and I, sans the tomatoes because I burned those, the bacon because I only had ham in the fridge and the mushroom because I forgot about those. So it was semi-traditional.

While we were eating breakfast at our living room with a view of the green beltway (that’s what they called it in the real estate brochure), it started raining. Pouring. It got dark outside all of a sudden. I mused to my sister, “we’re eating English breakfast, and the weather is very English.” Made me wish all of a sudden I was on vacation in London.
