There and Back Again

I was searching government job sites this afternoon, not because I am looking for a job but because I was looking for places to advertise a job that I am recruiting for. I was also hoping to steal ideas from other agencies’ job announcement on this particulary challenging recruitment I am doing for a licensed land surveyor.

Anyway, one way or another my search lead me to the Central Intelligence Agency website. Pretty darn slick website, let me tell you. I went to their careers page and it had a Personality Quiz that you can take without having to go through hell-ish registration. Now I know, I should have been working and not slacking off but I couldn’t resist it. So work be damned, I took a few minutes to complete the (mock) personality test.

The CIA personality test branded me a thoughtful observer. Pretty nice way to describe myself, I think. I am thoughtful and I like observing things and people. I can sit for hours just imagining things about people, writing stories in my mind about what each of these stranger’s life might be.

Now I wonder if this is a good personality to have if you were a spy? Not that I have plans of becoming a spy.

Hmmm….I doubt it.
